With the technology boom, more children are staying indoors with iPods, televisions, computers and video games and less time outdoors being physically active.
This sedentary lifestyle tied with poor meal and drink choices set children up for health problems, weight struggles and possibly obesity, Cherokee Nation health officials said.
Dr. Tom Kincade, chief of Pediatrics at the Three Rivers Health Center in Muskogee, said he believes obesity is already a problem in the CN.
