MACY, Neb. (AP) – The Environmental Protection Agency has notified the Omaha Indian reservation town of Macy in northeast Nebraska that its broken system has made the water unsafe to drink.

The EPA said in a news release Wednesday that it has told the Omaha Macy Public Water System to issue a boil order.

The EPA says a system failure has let water pressure drop significantly. That could expose the water to fecal or other contamination.
