It is important to let things be good and it is important to teach the younger generation, so that things are not lost."

Selena Coppa, an activist for Iraq Veterans Against the War, said: "This man was a psychiatrist and was working with other psychiatrists every day and they failed to notice how deeply disturbed someone right in their midst was."

I read the above on the internet and wanted to suggest to you that your very limited understanding of 'religious' people (or brainwashed etc) prevents you from understanding why these things happen. Once someone thinks they are acting on G-ds instructions they are capable of doing anything and they really cannot be blamed. Remember Jonestown.

It is not the person who is sick - it is the religion. The person is actually very devout and meticulous. You cannot fix the person without changing the religion. Most of the West does not understand this. Think Jonestown if you cannot get your brain around it. Islam is a ticking time bomb right around the world.

Did you know that Westinghouse is trying to send 100 million pounds of Missouri's nuclear waste to Idaho?

Did you know that the site they want to send it to is neither approved by nor regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission?

Does Idaho really want to be a target destination for nuclear waste?

A dedicated group of Idaho citizens is trying to inform everybody it can about this. We could sure use your help!

Come learn more about this at our web site: www.cleanidaho.org.

Thanks!

The remand order is located on http://www.desert-rock-blog.com/.

From the reading, Dooda Desert Rock didn't file an appeal at all.

A great victory for all of us in New Mexico.

The mountain in question is owned by the Newe (Western Shoshone) people by the virtue of the TREATY OF RUBY VALLEY 1863. This was a treat of friendship and peace. The Newe were never a defeated in battle, this was only a treaty to allow movement through Newe property. The purpose of this was to deliver gold to finance the Civil war for the North. The government claimed that the treaty was nullified by assimilation. The mine is on a sacred Mountain That wishes to place a open pit mine on it. The same as putting an open pit mine in the Vatican. The mine is foreign owned . There is no turquoise mined only leeched gold.
Barrick Gold Corporation is the world’s largest gold company and operates mainly on Indigenous lands for the extraction of gold. This company has refused to accept its social responsibility to protect Indigenous peoples’ land, sacred areas, water, and air pollution. Barrick has carried out many violations of Human Rights, and abusively opposed the struggle of Indigeous lands and people. Barrick is now beginning construction of an open pit cyanide mine directly on Mt. Tenabo a Western Shoshone spiritual and cultural area. Shoshone opposition to this mine has been ongoing and has gained global attention.

"Opponents say nuclear power is inherently unsafe and a public health risk. They say utilities should instead explore solar and wind power, and promote conservation."

The first sentence exemplifies the ignorance and uneducated opinions of opponents. And the second sentence exemplifies how naive and unrealistic their ideals are. Solar and Wind cannot make up the energy America needs if they wish to wane off fossil fuels and coal. Nuclear has to play large roll.

I don't know the exact stats but here in Canada Nuclear contributes around 32% to the grid while wind/solar contributes 3-5% at best. Are these opponents telling me that if Canada stops using nuclear, solar and wind can make up that 32%. Absolutely insane. It would cost tax payers billions and billions and would not lower emissions significantly. Look at Europe. For all their wind farms and solar, no coal plants have been closed, and C02 has not been reduced.

I'm not saying solar and wind don't play a part in our future, they absolutely do, but North America has to be pragmatic and idealistic in it's green investments.
For more proof on the fallacies of wind and solar please read <a href="http://enviralment.wordpress.com/2009/09/01/shining-some-light-on-the-realities-behind-solar-power/" rel="nofollow">this</a>
