That’s why it’s called an experiment. This is a great way to get rid of Pu, and use it for peaceful purposes. Nuclear power is safe.

Let’s face it, the plutonium disposition program of DOE has turned into yet another bg-governemnt handout. No wonder the French and Japanese friends support it, a it means US tax money going their way. Smells like unpatriotic subsidies, but that’s what Areva has gotten used to and the only thing that keeps it going in France.

The NRC’s is one of Friends in DOE and he got there by not following the Union. Friends denotes that Concerned Scientists can learn and apply the DOE and become very successful. A good way to start is to simply use the MOX program.
